" Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
Great teachers and high quality programs matter
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) published the Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development (SECCYD) in 2010. This was the most comprehensive study ever done following the long-term effects of child care at an early age on children’s social, emotional, intellectual, and language development through their teen years. Our teachers love working with kids. A great teacher really can make all the difference in your child’s future! The study was profiled by Ann Curry on the Today show detailing not only that “high quality child care” makes a positive impact on early childhood development, but also what constitutes and what parents should look for when searching for a “high quality child care center”.
At KCA, we believe that each child learns at their own unique pace and our goal is teach and give each child the opportunity to develop these core skills in a positive Christ-centered environment while partnering with parents to help prepare each child for a life of success.
Your child will learn and develop new skills through monthly activities and discovery projects. Our program provides the strongest research-based early literacy curriculum and seamlessly weaves solid content that captures children's natural curiosity about the world into an activity-centered day. The curriculum covers all domains of learning: Language and Literacy, Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, The Arts, Physical Development, and Social, Spiritual and Emotional Development.

We work with all children and teach them the Fruits of the Spirit described in Galatians 5:22-23 which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
At the core of all learning is a trusting and loving relationship. Our educational approach combined with a safe, loving, clean and nurturing environment, intentional teaching practices, and meaningful relationships will help your child grow, learn and thrive.

Our Pre-K program is based on the Creative Curriculum, which is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. It is designed to help educators at all levels of experience plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, content-rich program for children with diverse backgrounds and skill levels. The Creative Curriculum contains goals and objectives to gauge the child's learning and growth.
In addition, you can also expect your child to be immersed in fun Bible Stories and Worship time where he/she can interact with the Word of God and learn more about God and His ways. We use the Gospel Light curriculum and share new Bible lessons every week along with a new monthly Bible verse. All of these accounts can be found in the "God's Story for Me" Bible Story Book, which we provide each child after enrolling in our program. It is our hope that you will take some time to review these stories with your child and review the Bible verse as well.
A lesson plan for each week will be posted on your child's classroom board so that you are able to see and view the activities that your child is engaging in, as well as skills they will master in the 7 subject areas: Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Bible verse, Art and Music.
Our curriculum supports the growth of children across all areas of their early childhood development and it will help prepare them for a lifetime of success. Our program aligns with Head Start indicators and it's consistent with NAEYC standards. Our program also nurtures the whole child and supports the growth of children across all areas of early childhood development of their social, emotional, motor, cognitive, physical and intellectual skills.
We provide your child with the resources and materials to help inspire and teach them through art, music, logic games, hands-on investigations and a variety of other life learning experiences that will help them succeed!
