Do you accept childcare subsidies?

Yes! Kidtime Christian academy is approved to accept childcare subsidy assistance. Families who qualify can use their subsidy benefits toward tuition at our school.

 

What is childcare subsidy?

Childcare subsidy is financial assistance provided through the state to help eligible families pay for childcare. The amount of assistance depends on eligibility and approval through your local social services office.

 

How do I apply for childcare subsidy?

Families apply for subsidy through their local Department of Social Services (DSS) or through the Virginia Child Care Subsidy Program. Approval and funding are determined by the state. We’re happy to point you in the right direction if you need help getting started.

 

Does subsidy cover full tuition? 

Subsidy may cover a portion or, in some cases, most of the tuition. Any remaining baland or co-pay is the responsibility of the family. We will go over all pricing and expected payments with you before enrollment. 

 

Can I use subsidy at either of your locations?

Yes! We accept subsidies at both of our Kidtime Christian Academy locations (Hamilton and Stephens City). Availability may vary by classroom and age group.

 

Do you have to be subsidy approved before touring?

Not at all! We encourage families to tour first. You do not need to be approved for subsidy to tour or to ask questions about our program.

 

Is there a waitlist for subsidy spots?

Subsidy funding and classroom availability can vary. While we accept subsidy, enrollment depends on available openings in your child’s age group. We recommend reaching out as early as possible to reserve a spot.

 

Can I enroll while my subsidy application is pending?

In some cases, yes. Families may choose to enroll privately while their subsidy application is processed. Once approved, subsidies can be applied moving forward. Our office can walk you through your options.

 

Who do I contact with questions about subsidy status? 

Questions about your application or eligibility should be directed to your local DSS or subsidy caseworker. Questions about enrollment, openings, or tuition at our school can always be directed to our office.
